"I want to live my life like I am dreaming right now. I want to live it like nothing is impossible, and like everything is possible." -Danny Dream We all think we know what we need in order to be "successful". Some people chase success by chasing money; others seek success through goal setting or creating a vision board. However, the one thing many of us neglect is our own dreams and aspirations. Whether it's getting the best job, making money, or being the best athlete in the world, success is what you make it. It depends on your willingness to change your mindset and take steps towards making your life a dream come true. Mentors are people who help guide us in our journey to success. Mentors are people who have had their own share of dreams fulfilled or not fulfilled. They've learned what works and what does not work when it comes to finding our purpose in life. They have the ability to speak from experience. In this article, you will learn from a college student who has had to overcome his own challenges and find meaning from life. Danny Dream was born on March 17, 1994 in Rockville Centre, NY. He then grew up in Austin, TX and attended Westwood High School. His parents left him to grow up with a single mother who had a very tough childhood. Although she had a negative attitude about life, Danny's mother placed him in many different after school activities so he could have a more positive outlook on life. When Danny was younger he was interested in sports; he loved playing football; however; he wanted to be doing something else as well. He felt that he spent most of his time at the field doing sports with his friends; thus, the feeling of not understanding his purpose in life began to form. Danny Dream was known as a bright student; however, he never really focused on any one subject in school. Instead, he would go to school and do extracurricular activities. He played basketball for two seasons, soccer for one season and was on the cheerleading squad. Danny Dream says that although he was athletic; all that playing led to stress and anxiety on his part. Eventually, Danny dream began getting into fights on the field because he would be tired and stressed out of everything that was happening on the field. In the fall of his senior year, Danny Dream left school for a semester. He chose to attend Saddleback College because he wanted a break from school and he knew that staying in school would not make him happy or successful. When Danny Dream first got to college, he was interested in the study of philosophy and psychology. However, as his first semester came along, all he did was study and socialize with friends. He was able to get a job at a sushi bar to help pay for his university expenses. Danny Dream chose to take 12 credits non-matriculated courses because he knew it would prepare him for life after college. cfa1e77820
